Water Fluoridation The Pennsylvania Dental Association continues to advocate for an increase in water fluoridation in the state of Pennsylvania. Only half of the water in Pennsylvania is estimated to be fluoridated even though every $1 invested in fluoridation saves approximately $38 in dental treatment costs. This is one of the issues that we lobbied for last year at state lobby day in Harrisburg. A pending bill before the Senate would mandate an expansion of appropriate fluoridation levels to systems that supply 1000 or more homes. Read more at the PDA's website (www.padental.org). |
